Here at stately IPB Manor we’re celebrating the happy day by enjoying cold drinks and the above cake thanks in large part to our fabulously awesome friends, Sarah and Paul, who on the spur of the moment, lent us a mini-fridge after our big one went on the fritz. Thanks, Sarah and Paul!

Well how appropriate that icing is wishing you a happy birthday. I would have got you something but I figure what could be better than Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals (well, perhaps different teams in the final, but I didn’t have the power to make that happen).
Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes! I shall certainly endeavor to keep up my awesomeness for at least another year, buoyed by this scrumptious cake and the lingering power of that beautiful song from HG! And icing, I appreciate your efforts to make this a better final — but we take what we can get, so yeah… GO DUCKS!

Thanks, Steph! The cake is as delicious as it looks — layers of vanilla genoise, pastry cream and fresh strawberries. It’s a perfect cake for the first summery weekend of the year in New Jersey!
