Greetings from the lovely Chester Rest Stop on I-90 right outside Buffalo! We’ve had a rigorous day of driving up here from Tarrytown, and the fascinating thing we’ve learned is that New York State is really pretty in October. Who knew? Also, when you fill your entire iPod with Japancakes and Low, it takes many hours on shuffle before you’ll hit a raucous singalong. We don’t have much hockey content to report on from our epic trip yet; yesterday we attended perhaps the most beautiful wedding ever at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. So congratulations to Eugenie and Jarrett (of US Open fame), and seriously, Gentle Reader, if you ever get a chance to visit Stone Barns or eat at the restaurant, do so. It is amazing. We’ll also give a big shout-out here to our buds from Table 8 last night — you know that group of odds ‘n’ ends at a wedding who are neither family nor long-time bestest friends? That was us, and we had a great, great time. Table 8 RULZ!

T-minus 3 1/2 hours until we join forces with Katebits and take HSBC and the Harbour Club by storm. Wish us luck… or rather, wish everyone else in the arena luck. We hope to be back soon with tons of exciting hockey news to report on!
