Gentle Listener, we present to you the 3rd episode of our podcast, The IPB Hour. In the past we’ve joked that the podcast should be subtitled, “Contents May Be Less Than An Hour”, but this week, not so much. Why? Because we took our act on the road, ambling over to Brooklyn to talk hockey with our old season-ticket buddy and IPB Irregular, Morgan! We arrived at his apartment at noon and talked hockey pretty much non-stop until 5:30 when we had to head back to the ‘burbs. We only recorded part of it, fortunately, so you’re spared all but an hour of our rambling conversation which covered The Curse Of Beating Brodeur, our can’t-miss predictions of who will win the Cup, some wacky theories about Andy Greene, and everything in between.
As usual, you can subscribe to the podcast here. If you have any questions, comments, or thoughts in general about the IPB Hour, please drop us a line at interchangeablepartsblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
UPDATE: This one’s a long one, and it’s come to our attention that WordPress’s audio player doesn’t allow for easy pausing and returning to later. You can download the podcast into the audio player of your choice here.

Okay. I’m at the Final Four now, and I just watched my Tar Heels lose awfully. So in my sorrow I’m listening to this.
This is going to be a sad trip home. A wasted weekend – the Devils suck (as has been expected) and UNC sucks (as is never expected).
These are the times when I realize how much I love you guys. You manage to turn all my negativity into positivity.
And BOOOO. Boston lost.
G’nite. I’m going to be happy when I come back to IPB tomorrow, I promise.

Is that because two negatives make a positive? :D
I’m so sorry about UNC! It looked for a minute that maybe they might be able to come back. That sucks.
Double negatives!
I thought they would too. Psycho T looked like he was having issues and Lawson wasn’t on his game. Tyler looked like he was about to cry, kind of like Zach after the playoffs last year. This loss is worse than last year because UNC had so much more potential and made it even farther in the tournament.
Bethanie, I’m so sorry it’s been such a sucky day for you! (I had Kansas in our NCAA draw, so I’m not going to say it was a terrible day for everyone, since those bragging rights on the line are AWFULLY valuable… :P)
Haha, I had UCLA and my alma mater in the finals, but I didn’t have the luck of the Irish (I’m only saying that because it was this movie on the Disney channel that my sister was watching, and because I’m Italian.)
I’m happy that your bracket worked out well for you. Hopefully Kansas wins – if you can’t beat ‘em, then you might as well root for them.

:^::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
You’re a bigger man than I, Gunga Din. I always wish pain and misery on the teams that beat the ones I like! :P
I think that’s only acceptable in hockey. You didn’t expect me to go rooting for the Rangers this season, now did you? I mean, seven times?!
I might as well gouge my eyes out.
Are y’all watching the Vancouver game? I’m sobbing, watching Trevor Linden say his goodbyes and I barely know the guy. Poor alix is probably curled up in a dark corner of her closet right now.
Not quite in a dark corner, Patty. But close. Heh. And man do I hate Calgary, but that was hella classy that they all lined up to talk to to him.
That was nice of them. Seemed like Iginla was leading that part.
And it was nice of them to make him a star, so he could come out for his encore.
It will be awkward if he decides to return, but everybody will be happy if he does, I’m sure.
Awww, alix, I’m so sorry it was so sad tonight! That’s pretty cool of Calgary to be so classy for Trev, though.
I’m so glad they did that! That was beautiful. Sigh. And when all the Canucks were helmet nuzzling him. Awww.
Anyways, I’m going to go watch a movie. Hopefully I’m still not crying when I get to the lounge. Heh. Night!
Thanks, Schnookie!
Good night, alix!
Good night, alix! I bet Linden thought, when taking his curtain call, “This is for the wheaty fans out there! Like alix!”
‘Night alix!
