Kate, I’m trying to find stats for the Canadians (without looking at their entire schedule) to see who they’ve won more against, the Rangers or Philly. Personally, I’d like to see them play the Rangers because it would give me pleasure to see Avery sent packing at the hands of the Habs. Plus I don’t hate Philly enough yet to make it as exciting for me.

My roommate and I joked about naming our cat Abelard when we first rescued him, although in reality it would have been a little too cruel since getting him fixed was pretty high up on our list of things to do. Heloise was pretty awesome though as far as medieval ladies go. She has a bird who was briefly named Heloise until we realized that she was actually a he, at which point his name was changed to Ernest.

Myra, I think they usually make the guys make themselves scarce if they aren’t working out or skating. Just to keep the guys that are playing from thinking they’ll get help soon. But I’ve heard players say before that that’s the worst part of being injured — not being able to hang around with the guys.

Secondly, I appreciate the complaints about staying up for the late games and all, but I just feel the need to whine a bit and point out that if I wanted to watch the Flames/Sharks game I would have to stay up until 7:00am. Only if it doesn’t go to OT. Why do the Western Conference games have to be played in, you know, the West? I don’t really care about the Caps/Flyers game. I love game 7s, though, so I’m going to watch it anyway. (Mags, I don’t know how you can live like this. At least I only have to deal with it for this one season.)
