This is the 30th in our summer series in which we are drawing hockey cards at random from a box and then writing about them.
We have something to confess here. We actually didn’t write about the first card we drew from the PBS Dispenser tonight. Nor did we write about the second. Nor the third. Once we started discarding what we’d picked (because they were either players we’d already written about or Petr Sykora), it was hard to stop, and we were fully prepared to chuck this one when we pulled it out:
Something we realized a few days ago is that there is not a thing on Earth we could care about less than the KHL. We really, really, really didn’t want to weigh in on the Radulov Situation. The coverage of it has been, as far as we’re concerned, an group of ever-increasingly shrill Chicken Littles squawking about the new Red Menace in one corner, and in the other corner a group of ever-increasingly smug writers mocking the Chicken Littles. But then we read the back of the card:
Who are we to resist such delicious irony? What say you, Gentle Reader? Is Radulov likely to make any more silly mistakes that cost the Predators wins?
