On the surface it may seem like we haven’t progressed much in a year, what with the same stupid teams in the Stanley Cup Final again and all, but that’s just looking at the surface. Dig a bit deeper and you’ll find a crucial difference: this time we’re cheering for the stupid Pens. So… yay, go Pens.

Could you elaborate a little bit on why you cheer for the pens? I’m completely undecisive between those two teams. If you only give me one good reason, I’ll side with the pens too.

I think the Pens seem like they’re really enjoying the game. The Red Wings seem like a machine. Fun > Machine, in my opinion.

And besides, if the Pens win the Cup, there’s another chance for it to end up in Mario’s swimming pool.

Yeah, fair enough. I’m not a Crosby hater, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him wait a little more before he claims the cup though. He’s only 21… I think if I cheer for the Pens, it’ll be more because of Malkin and Letang. And because I really dislike Osgood.

Last year in the SCF, Fleury didn’t give up a single good goal, while also stopping tons of shots he never should have. This year I’m going to keep closer track — the counter’s now at one goal he never should have given up. Heh.

Actually, any Canadian crowd is a delight to see made miserable. :D (I say this fully putting forth that my team is such a consistently mediocre “good” team that most of my pleasure in hockey these days comes from schadenfreude.)

I’m getting a transfer degree from community college with a bend towards science, then I’m going to transfer to NAU and I hope to get a job in the growing “green” industries. If nothing else, at least I will have a degree that took some effort, rather than Liberal Arts or PoliSci.

Too late. It’s like a train wreck, I had to watch. However, I have yet to find video evidence, but I remember almost the exact same play except it was Brodeur getting credit for the goal against the Flyers. I’m thinking it was a game in January of the year 2000.

I never watched The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, but for many years it was one of my top-five movie titles.

The fact that they’re remaking it is bad enough, but hiring Travolta to “act” in it is obviously a bit. They’re just doing it to crack up their buddies.

That game was predictable. I don’t even know why I wasted time to watch it. I should’ve just done my other predictable Friday night activity, playing Super Mario Brothers and dying at the same halfway point in level 8-2.
