How We Spent Our Vacation: Day 1

The Devils spent their day practing line changes, so we decided to do the same while giving Patty (in Princeton) a tour of the university campus. It was simple to be just the like Devils. All we had to do was face different directions, space out, and cease to pay attention to anything around us (such as say, Patty taking our picture).

And I feel good for the Stars’ chances this week — I mean, they’re playing the Kings, the Ducks, the Kings and the Blues. That’s four automatic wins right there! :P

We did get some squirrel pictures, don! They were gray with honey-colored swatches. I saw a black squirrel earlier in the week. I had never seen that before.

I went to a blogging “lesson” tonight. Ah boo. It was at a nail salon – as in fingernail salon. Ah boo again. I guess all females enjoy shopping and buying boots and purses.

And tomorrow? The biweekly staphylococcus meeting. And the Canucks lost tonight.

I wish I had stowed away in Patty luggage for sure.

Yeah, I can see that. He’s a W-2 employee (I know, it seems silly, but he is) and he has to have all the usual taken out of his pay by his employer. Therefore, no SS#, no check. It’s not like with someone who’s self employed or a contractor or technically a K-1 employee in an LLC (you aren’t the employer in a self-employed situation, but you are still self-employed according to the gov’t), where they can just pay you and you are responsible for sending all the appropriate quarterly payments to the government, state and federal, including both sides of the payroll tax and you don’t have to provide the SS# until you send the check in for your first quarterly payment (although getting a checking account without one would take some doing).

Sucks for him, though…but that’s the way it works.

Zach really wanted to do it with the old Sabres logo. That’s the only reason it didn’t happen. Boxworthy discovered some fine print in his contract that said he couldn’t have dentures for any other EC team. Interestingly, though, he can have WC-team dentures. He just couldn’t pick one he liked best.

Halak won in a shootout and I’m very happy with that. It’s still hard for me to identify with their “big line”. I’ve always like Cammalleri, and Gio isn’t too offensive. I just don’t like Gomez so he kind of wrecks it for the other two.
