We had the following gtalky exchange yesterday evening, and we think it’s something that needs to be brought to the attention of all the Hambone fans out there (we know there are lots of you).
Pookie: Did you know that there was a character in early Popeyes called “Horace Hamgravy”?!
Schnookie: Horace Hamgravy???? That’s amazing!
Pookie: Dude, the word “goon” appeared for the first time in a Popeye comic book. I think it’s a sign that we’re going to witness a Dr. Hambone and Mr. Hamgravy incident soon when Dean McAmmond turns into Cam Janssen.
So at some point later this season, when Dr. Hambone gives way to his evil alter ego Mr. Hamgravy, don’t be surprised. You’ve been forewarned.
