At the Olympics just for fun. Olympics are fun. Saw this million-dollar coin. Seriously? That’s the best the Canadian Mint can do? I could poop six or seven of those things a day. Now that I think about it, Olympics suck.

Okay. So I don’t get the difference between ice dancing and figure skating. There seems to be less throwing of the girls in ice dancing.

Guys, I LOVE the ice dancing! I love it WAY more than the pairs. It’s figure skating, with all its attendant craziness, but then with the ramped-up insanity of ballroom dancing. I mean, the reigning world champions skated IN BLACKFACE BODYSTOCKINGS. (That said, the compulsories are not all that thrilling.)

And Carol, that is SO COOL that you’re chilling with Marty!

That is so cool, Carol! I listened to some interviews with Marty at the Olympics and he sounded way too happy. He always sounds more curmudgeon in his Devils interviews.

Yeah, talk about tone deaf. I’m sure it was well-intentioned but honestly, they managed to wear blackface bodystockings with markings that were offensive to aboriginals and with loincloths in a color that is only used for religious ceremonies. Talk about royally screwing that one up.

I will have you know that I watched curling all day yesterday. I hadn’t been that interested in the American women until it was the only curling on and now I have to watch for all their games (today’s wasn’t a good one).

We’ve been watching curling all weekend, taking the occasional break to watch men’s cross-country skiing and then the ski assassins earlier today. I can’t get enough of this shit!

Oh, that’s a good point about the ice dancing schedule. I’m such a sucker that I’m like, “The ice dancing is on during the 7-11 block, which means it’ll start at 7!!” And I never learn. Heh.

But having to put on pants is a MAJOR deterrent against watching the hockey. That’s one of the primary reasons I don’t have season tickets anymore. Having to put on pants sucks.
