Today we took a class at Pennington Quilt Works to learn how to hand quilt. It was so much fun and now we can’t wait to get started on real projects (ones that would be more exciting than the practice muslin sandwich pictured here)!

So…. how was quilting class? Mwahaaahaaahaa ***evil laugh****
Tram, the evil laugh is definitely appropriate. You know what I need to do? I need to quit my job so I can quilt all day. Right now I just don’t have enough quilting hours. :D (What I liked best about the class was that our instructor was all, “You can’t help but get better the more you do this, so just get a quilt and start quilting it! Don’t do practice pieces on muslin or you’ll never learn! But on your first project, just make sure you use thread that’s the same color as the quilt, and that way no one will be able to see that you were just a beginner.” How many handcrafts are there that actually function to hide the quality of your work? Quilting is the BEST!)
SHARKTOPUS IS THE APEX OF CINEMA! Nothing can get better than Sharktopus. If you missed it you’d better find a way to watch it soon, for the good of your soul.
Better than The Room?
I just checked my fantasy hockey pool and I’ve got Steven Stamkos – born in 1990. He looks about 12.
I also got Kovalchuk! W00T! W00T! As the management of the Beards of Bees, I must have a lotta cash. SWEET!
If I were you, I’d sneak my quilting to work. Heh. Do it under the desk and stuff…while talking on the phone…no one would notice.
I haven’t seen The Room, it’s on my to-do list, along with Troll 2 and Birdemic. I have this to say though, how can any movie possibly trump a giant Sharktopus eating people off both bungee cords and ziplines.
Bonus: lady eaten off bungee cord goes straight to commercial, no reaction shots. Just, boom, buy a magnet hat.

:^:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: That’s always such a pleasant surprise after the auto-draft.
(And what I would do to be able to work on my quilting at the office. I think I could probably get away with knitting, but I don’t enjoy that nearly as much as quilting.)

No movie can. That truly is the pinnacle of cinema.
I know it won’t even get a look for the Oscars, which is why I will be boycotting it this year. As opposed to every other year when I don’t watch it.
Guess what!?! I have my windows open in my office! The high today is supposed to only be 75! Fall is finally here!!!
Yay for Fall Myra!
So I was gonna dump Shittymaki because I am familiar with how much he sucks from his Flyers years. But it turns out all the other FA goalies pretty much blow too.
At least I have both Sharks goalies. So when the one that is picked as the starter sucks, the other will become the starter.
WOO HOO for cool weather, Myra! That’s awesome! It’s chilly and rainy here — which would be great except for all the walking around outside I had to do earlier when it was pouring. Ahh, an afternoon of drying in the frigid AC of my office…
High of 91 here today woo hoo! And is the media toying with me saying that Langenbrunner is going to be shipped off to the Avalanche? It’s not nice to get people’s hopes up…
But it turns out all the other FA goalies pretty much blow too.
I was tempted to drop both my “starting” goalies and pick up two definate back up goalies because I’m pretty “N/A” gets you a better score than 65.7% in SV%.
Mike, they had a showing of The Room in downtown Buffalo last month but I missed it. I have no idea why they didn’t advertise it more.
Yeah Mike, I was all “DO IT!” It’s probably won’t happen though. But I’m the same one who said Lou would NEVER trade for Kovalchuk, so I pretty much suck at predicting things.
And is the media toying with me saying that Langenbrunner is going to be shipped off to the Avalanche? It’s not nice to get people’s hopes up…
I KNOW! I figure it’s best to just celebrate the fact that people are reporting with a straight that another team would want Langer. That’s as close as we’re going to get, right?
Muslin sandwich sounds like it would be a great name for a band.

That’s the spirit!

It’s good to see the up-until-now heterophobic sports media change, even if they won’t give the straights full reporting duties yet.

In news almost as exciting as the thought that someone might actually take Langer off our hands, I finally remembered to look up how to make a carriage return inside a cell in Excel! My life is one thrill after another.

If you need another thrill, Crunchy’s photos of pretty NHL players are up on the Vanity Fair website. That is, if you’re in to being shallow and looking at pretty NHL players.

Clarkson might be gone too. Apparently a possible cap casualty.
He’d better not, I like The Eternal Wrap-Around. Also, he pisses off my Rangers fan friend no end.

Damn, Lundqvist. Woowhee. That’s all I have to say about that. Heh.

Why in Lou’s name would anybody want to do that? Never mind, I don’t want to know.
