kenF, I completely agree that this "here are some games... WHOOPS! No more games! PSYCH!" thing is BRUTAL. I feel like hockey for reals will NEVER be here. :P

And I think tiltshift is SO cool. I think Carol Browne has played around with it a bit, and I'm always like, "DUDE!" Pookie managed to get a bit of a tiltshift effect with a lot of her pictures with the lensbaby in The Netherlands. It was so weird, but also not something I'm complaining about! Anyway, I think we need to tiltshift some hockey pictures... :D

i have a curiosity about jury duty, not saying i'd go out of my way to volunteer, but if i get selected i'd serve.

photography sidebar: have you ever seen the tiltshift technique?

pretty interesting looking shots.

teasing me with a couple of preseason games, then not sharing the rest is not nice at all. not nice. makes the regular season seem so far away. again.

We even got to have an interesting debate about levels of assault and sentencing!

Whoa, cool! We heard all kinds of stuff about how to figure out damages, but it was all moot because none of us thought the guy deserved any.

The only reason I was slow to warm up to jury duty was because the voir dire took FOREVER. I had to sit through something like 4 1/2 hours of the same 40 questions over and over and long breaks when the prospective jurors were taken out for a sidebar. The attorneys tossed so many people off that they had to bring in a second set of jurors to go through. It was so excruciatingly boring. But the rest of the experience made up for that.

Hm. I'm sorry it wasn't as good as you'd hoped. I'm a big fan of chard (as you know), but I've had my share of sub-par chard, and when it misses, it's pretty blah. Bummer!

How was the chard prepared, Amy?

It was sauteed with a little olive oil & garlic. It wasn't bad, but I think there were parts of it that needed to be cooked a little more.
