We have not abandoned you on purpose, Gentle Reader — we are just unable to get the interwebs at Patty’s house to work. So we may be incommunicado until we are back in the confines of stately IPB Manor, but there may still be a miraculous breakthrough… We hope to be back to our regular complaining about the Devils sooner.

Yay for no Devils game until Thursday! I would be a lot more positive if the Devils had lost while looking like the Sabres Saturday night instead of well, like the Devils. I have said it before and will say it again but the Devils will not win another Stanley Cup with Brodeur as the main goalie. Our defense is not good enough to cover up for him these days.

Anyone else find it odd that MSG decides to hire her this year? I am wondering if Doc or a family member has a more serious health problem (or he is looking to slow it down more). Not like having Cangialosi doing fill-in is any different from the previous 3 years and they managed.

Of course the more simple explanation is they wanted to provide a more dynamic telecast but that would require me to think they are actually taking the Devils seriously instead of devoting all their resources to the Rangers.

Price used to go calf-roping on a solid but unspectacular Canadian horse who was bigged up a little too much by the salesman until he couldn’t find it for a big competition and had to borrow a Slavic nag. The nag roced the crap out of that tourney unitil Price eventually let it down at the end. Once the tourney was over, he accidentally traded it to a Missouri rodeo livery for a bag of tato chips.

I could have told you how this game was going to be. Marty and the Devils needing to turn their season around, in Montreal? Hum, yeah really, I wonder who’s gonna win that one!
I wonder why the Habs still bother dressing 20 guys when they play NJ. Just give half the team the night out, or play with your AHLers, I mean it’s not as if it’s gonna make any difference. Marty will still get his shutout and Parise will still score his goal. Sigh.
