I love that quilt that is in the WSJ article. It would look awesome in my room if it was in black or navy blue instead of red. My room is painted that vibrant red color, so I want contrasting bedding.

And is this workday over with yet? It’s been insane today.

Also, I don’t think they were pleased at where the player went. If Kovy had signed that contract with teams that the NHL had felt were more “useful” to them, they would have whined again and left it to the next CBA to deal with it.

I like your conspiracy angle, I bet you’re right that if he went to the Kings, everything would have been OK. I think the most ridiculous part of the whole thing was the fining and taking away draft picks from NJ for doing what everyone else had already been setting a precedent for. I can understand disallowing the contract, but the extra punishment was just outrageous and IMO completely unwarranted. As to burying players in the minors, I thought that was just something that was a loophole that was neglected in the CBA but it sounds like allowing it was pretty intentional.

Thanks for the heads up, Sue! It was already on our agenda for the weekend. :D It’s going to be tough because the quilts are going to be so awesome, but we’re all too impatient to make a quilt with only two colors, so it’ll be bittersweet to see all the gorgeousness we can’t recreate at home. Heh.
